[Spooks] 31 meter oddity

I was listening ot Radio China propaganda on
9690, while I was writing an article. I was busy,
so after RCI signed off @ 0500, I stayed on
frequency. I heard a weak station broadcast what
sounded like the NBC three note jingle. It
sounded like this: same notes as NBC, then again
with the second note several steps higher. It
took about seven seconds to complete the six
notes.
These two three note groups were repeated about
six or seven times. The station was weak, so it
may have been sign on music for somebody, I don't
know.
Anybody else hear this or have any idea what I
may have heard? I'm trying to figure out if it is
something I should log.
