MIRC is the most common PC IRC client.

Lately I have been messing with Trillian, because it contains ICQ, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, MSN 
Messenger, and IRC all in the same client program (Combines your buddy lists too...)

But MIRC would be the most mainstream for the PC.
