OT Re: [Spooks] Reminder - new list

Hi all,

We're still getting the new mailing list software sorted out, so bear with
us. I'm not sure that any of us list owners really knows yet what the
software can do ;-)

While the software can allow posting of html/mime, this is controlled on a
per-list basis (rather than the global ban on it previously for all qth
lists). For the time being, I am going to keep html/mime banned from the
list, as it adds unecessary bloat (about triple in size), and is not
readable in many simple email packages. Plus, Bill Gates' opinion
notwithstanding, it's just plain wrong ;-)

I'll also see what I can do to eliminate some of the extra stuff being
sent with each email. Right now, the big effort is getting all the lists
at qth.net migrated to the new mailing list software. Once that is done,
we'll be getting a *lot* of feedback, I am sure ;-)  And then we can start
streamlining/improving things.
