[SOC] How and why?

Far as I remember, it was CW Academy for me as well. I had the first two
courses, then the "new" one that was in-between Level 2 and Level 3. I
called it Level 2.5, but I don't think that wound up being the official
name, if they even kept it. I found it useful, but I don't know how others
felt about it.

CWA was good at getting the code into my brain. I can SEND fairly well,
sending in tests and practice at 15wpm. If I expect an answer, I drop it to
10 or 12, because I still have issues with ICR. Part of that is my memory
access and parallel task processing in my brain have been pickled with the
painkillers and other drugs that are my lifeline these days. It takes me
too long to translate the code, and yes, I know, I should be training for
the gestalt of the entire word, but that takes me longer than the gap
between words, and I miss words instead of letters. So my use of CW is very
weak. I still keep trying, though.

I'd say bury me with a QRP rig and a key, so I can practice when I'm dead,
but I plan on cremation, and it DOES let out the magic smoke, including
yours. 🥸🤪
