[SOC] A few more than a few words...

Thank you for entry into this most esteemed club (I think or thought). I am honored to be known to you as SOC#1446. It’ll be the nicest thing I’ve been called today!

I’ve been a ham all my life, but was approved and licensed by the FCC and currently wear the moniker AI4AE. My favorite mode is CW, and usually operate QRP, though I’m not opposed to operating with more power. I’m constantly impressed with this hobby of ours and enjoy the fraternity it encourages. I’m sure it will take a while, but I hope to live up to the high standards set by being a Second Class Operator!

I stumbled, quite figuratively, upon the SOC after I had brief QSO with John GM4TA (SOC#1395). After reading his QRZ page, I investigated the SOC. I was hooked! Well, my headphones were tangled… but once I cleaned up that mess, I fired off an e-mail and the rest, as they say is history. Thank you for accepting me, if even for a moment, before you find out too much about me.
