Frank,
To be frank about it, we retired types still need calendars so that we
don't miss the CW contests. Not to mention any particular SOC number, but
rumor was a certain SOC contester was passing out calendars that were a
couple of years old. His intention was to reduce the competition from the
retired types by having them think the contest was on days that the contest
was not held. The retired types got the last laugh by calling CQ TEST
every day and all day long, since they have no real purpose left in life
other than to play with their radios and to complain about everything
animal, vegetable or mineral.
