I'm not sure what a microphone is used for but headphones can certainly
pinch if you have a very large cranium (Second Class ops have no worry
here). To answer your other question about AM... Am is a pronoun or
something like that. The declension of the pronoun 'am' is as follows:
I am
You am
He, she, it, undecided, am
We am
Us am
They am

Example1: They dxpedition guys am not hearing me calling them on their
frequency.

Example2:  Bob, John and me are each running 1500+ watts and calling the
dxpedition at the same time, and we still am not being heard with our
combined 4500+ watts. Obviously, he am having pinched ears from tight
headphones.
