[SOC] Is it designed to do this ?

They're on to us. 

I like how my wife tossed out my old drip maker for her Keurig. Said it
took less room on the counter. Told me to use it. I started putting grounds in reusable k-cups. Then I got a French Press and used the Keurig to heat the water. She got tired of refilling it so much, so she bought me an electric kettle to heat the water.

So now instead of a smallish drip maker, I have a large electric kettle
and a french press taking up 2x the space as before. Oh well.
