How close to the continental shelf is “Western Ireland”? I’ve heard tell of a 2 meter trans-Atlantic CW contest, and Ireland is the closest to me. First contact wins a pint in front of St James’ Gate, as well as the undying admiration of the 3 people who know what happened.
