Yes, Dagnet was great, also.  It just was not the same when it came on 
the boob tube,
though Jack Webb was good.  I can almost remember the music that came 
with the
Drag Net show.  Then there was Gang Busters, also.  Radio back then was 
better than
TV today, though the British have some good stuff yet, when I can find it.

My God parents lived in Ft. Wayne, IN  My folks asked if I could send a 
message via
ham radio to let them know we were coming down that weekend. Telly LD calls
were expensive then. I had W9FJT (Fifty Jumping Tigers) call them.  I 
was a hero
that weekend because I knew Bob Sievers, a WOWO personality ! Their 
daughters
had to show me off to all their friends.
