When you get som FOC op claiming it is "his" frequency. Why not just ask 
him, if he READYto receive traffic in   MCW "MODE" ?  I thought there 
was a Q-code for it but not in my copy of book maybe it is in the Z-code.
this usually get a stunned silence. then repeat the question with Tx 
switched to MCW.
Normally gets you a clear channel/frequency.
