i guess this is the place to say this.............i was given a halli
S38A which someone had gone through and replaced caps etc, and miss wired
it a bit. i fixed the mistakes, took off the IF stage cathode cap hooked
up a shielded wire to it and over to a BC453, and now i have a light
weight (weighs less than an HRO Sixty) useable 80 and 40 meter receiver

mike w7dra who has turned into a Vegan due to having stage 3 CKD         
           raw vegitables anyone?

since i can't eat my SOC number i am really not interested in it
