Thanks Dave,
It was close to what I was thinking of a pure DC interrupted note into an AM
carrier signal, but was not sure. I remember the terms of A-1 and A-3 but
consternated A-2 somewhere between.
Now I have to rationalize how a dc cw tone can be more narrow on an AM
carrier, BUT, with today's technology, ie, being choked down, am sure its
done like you said in your explanation.-AND, that would be terrific for we
still mega xtal radio builders to copy cw w/o a XFO. But what the heck,
that's why the old Heathkit Q-multiplier came in handy. Now even "it" can be
junked. ( the wrenching of my heart to see that.)
