[SOC] NEVER WORRY.

Opinions from a soc member; The QST is only in support of itself. Erase all
adds, dither blither and blather, add only pertinent info, it would be a 10
page fanzine. SOC is simply the bottom of the think tank with the imperts
instead of the experts which leads to greater discovery. Which entitles
members like me to ask stuff like this: What is "mcw?" I know what cw is,
but is this a secret code for "my cw?"  I hve not kept up on digital
gizmatchies. Although, if you ask me about any of the articles in my Fur
Fish & Game magazine sitting in by the Porcelain Transmitter, you would get
in depth discussions.

   If you want a good publication of ARRL's informative handbooks, pick up a
copy of about 1956 to about 1961 edition, or previous. Maybe even one of the
Jones Radio books ( I think was the name..) all good stuff. Dismissing their
ENZAC antenna program, all the old antenna theory unchanged mostly. 

  One thing do you notice in the pages of QST as opposed to yesteryear.
Almost every ham picture, adds or not, has a computer sitting next to their
rig. That is explanatory like, "here is my rig, here is my brain, without
one or the other, I do not know how to operate." - I keep my computer at
least 8 feet from my rig, neither is attached to the other, and NO KEYBOARD
to the rig, ha ha ha. Isn't that funny, I still use a regular old key. See,
SOC's are weird, strange, funny, but still not on the leading edge, but on
the edge of leading. Its like the basement division of baseball, the team on
the bottom is the strongest team in the league because they support all the
teams above them. Make sense?
