i went to the anitque radio swap meet here in shoreline wa, saw young people carrying off phonos and other old stuff, made my heart warm... bought a pristine HQ129x for $30 and an S38 (the original 6 tube) for $5 at 78 I aint dead just yet mike w7dra

Recurring theme here maybe? Members leave the ARRL due to being 
disenfranchised for one reason or another. ARRL claims fewer licensed 
hams & gets the testing process simplified. New batch of hams gets 
disenfranchised & leaves the ARRL. Rinse & repeat.
