Nice try, SOC'ers.  Once you have an SOC number, it's yours for life.
You are stuck with it.  Even improving your operating habits will not
erase the connection to your lifetime SOC number.  You can't sell it,
exchange it, or give it away.  You made the decision to join SOC.  No
one stuck a gun to your head and forced you to join. Just accept the
fact that once you're an SOC'er, you're always an SOC'er.  So go ahead,
put SOC on your QSL card, buy some more SOC t-shirts, hats, socks, and
coffee cups.  Get that SOC tattoo that you've always wanted. Nothing can
erase the fact that you are SOC.  Not even a silly contest.
