[SOC] (SOC) 528 hz tone

Holy cow, this is great!

I changed my sidetone to 528 hz and I can now copy not only 100 WPM, but my
head acts as a skimmer and I can copy 9 or 10 CW stations all at once. I
have to use a lot of pencils stuck through my fingers at odd angles to get
them all on paper, but it works great. AND it rejects all DX Cops' "up up
up" sounds, too. With a bit more practice, I'm hoping to also be able to not
hear other things like "lid" and other less-printable expressions of wisdom
transmitted on the DX's transmit frequency.

I'm trying mentally chanting a mantra of "Tune to me.tune to me.tune to me."
in the pileups and so far I've gotten 6 out of 4 Rare DX stations to call me
almost immediately. I'm pretty sure I didn't actually transmit that on the
DX frequency, but I did get a chance to watch the filtering of up-up-up and
lid-lid happen more right after the chanting for some reason.

Tuning my sidetone to 528 hz even opens up 10M in the wee hours of the
morning for me now - I think... hard to smoke and chant and tune and write
multiple things at a time, but I'm pretty sure a P5 just called me (again),
but I told him, "Dupe!" . I think I wrote down the first time he called
me..somewhere..

Just wanted to pass out, er, along the wonderful news...

**************ORIGINAL MSG*************

If you want to be in tune with the universe, you should not use 600 or 750
Hz when listening to morse code (CW), you should listen to 528 Hz. I know it
is on the low side, but it might make your life happier.

Here is a one hour lecture telling you why (I think, I only listened to a
few minutes of it).
