[SOC] A question for you

Let's skip the formula for a moment. Each db increase has a multiplier value
of 1.259. So applying that to your problem 200x(1.259x1.259)=317.0162. Each
3 db is approximately a doubling of the power (1.259x1.259x1.259). For power
increase multiply , for power decreases divide. I hope that sheds some light
on the problem.

Subject: [SOC] A question for you
I am beating my brains out trying to figure out Effective Radiated Power.
The formula appears to be:
ERP= Transmitter power X 10 (+- antenna gain/10)
the example given is 200 w transmitter output with an overall gain of 2db.
So if my thinking is correct it would look something like this:
200x10x 2/10
The answer given is that the output is 317 watts. Can anybody help me see
the light?
Randel
