[SOC] The day the music died

it is really sad by how much work anything takes.....i get "oh, how i
wish i could dance like you!" (divorced/widowed 50ish fat), my usual
reply is "you could have started when you were 14", and "oh, how i wish i
could play the guitar like you" and i say "you could.........it just
takes 5 hours a day 5 days a week for 5 years, and then we will see how
you are doing".

remember that freakish long haired sknnny guy that plays the violin in
the PBS specials? at 4 watched his older brother practice...he decided he
could do it better than his brother, got lessons from a famous teacher,
had 10,000 hours in by the time he was 11..................and at 16 they
called him a child prodigity
