Fair suck of the Sav David [Saveloy for those not in the know]. Don't we
all just take turns beating one another?

Well there used to be a cricket team, mostly comprising ex-pats though.

With football [not soccer], years ago they used to annually field a
competitive team in the very entertaining Rugby League "Coca Cola
Sevens" competition.

That was a season curtain raiser held over a weekend but once money
entered the game, Sydney coaches would only field third graders rather
than risk their "stars" suffering injury.

I always used to put my hard earned down on one of the Pacific Island
teams. To them it's not a game but a religion.

Teams [seven a side] from all around the world, playing two halves of
ten minutes at a frenetic pace over a Saturday and Sunday.

Immensely entertaining and the venue always sold out three months ahead,
everyone else settled down for almost non-stop football broadcast on TV
from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Money ruined it like everything.

Thanks! :) 72/73's
