Any other country using voice recognition software for telephone banking?

I phoned one of my banks [yep I be a super capitalist basket] today. 
After doing the business, I was invited to hold the line and record my 
voice for voice recognition in the future:

I had to repeat three times each of the following:

Access code: 12345678

Date of birth: 24th March, 1942

Simply 'mazing [sic]
