[SOC] On the subject of the Green Fairy

Absinthe aka the Green Fairy went into almost total invivibility in the UK up to a few years back when it became the 'in' drink for the booze swilling, pill popping club dance scene.
It most certainly is still widely drunk admittedly by a minority group of almost 100% young people.
I always have a couple of bottles of the green stuff in my booze cupboard for those visitors who are probably going to out stay their welcome anyway so sod 'em Hi. 
This is an interesting snippet about the re-legalisation of the stuff in France.

Not forgetting the film Moulin Rough where Kylie Minogue's character was called the green fairy as a tip of the hat to absinthe.

There is a really bad joke about absinthe which - if pushed - I may just submit to the group....
