The only thing I could find was the word dinkum, which the ignorant could construe as making a negative comment on a man of dark skin. It is possible that there was an American slang "dink" but I am not sure if anyone remembers it was used in Vietnam to refer to the US Asian enemy. Certainly, nothing on Google shows any dark skin person racist dimension for the whole word, "dinkum." Actually if this guy Kurt thinks that word triggered something inside him, HE is the sick puppy.

Actually the words "Fair Dinkum" could be translated as "The God's
Truth" and oplden day expression.

I was Shanghai'ed into that yonks back and have lost all the details. I
note the actual "List Owner" hasn't commented yet, even privately.

He's the one who hands out certificates. His likely attitude is:

a) You can well take care of yourself OR;
b) Why did you start all this? OR;
c) As much as I love you, you started it, you clean it up.

A top, genuine fellow, along with so many here who choose, in very
recent years to sit quietly in the background.

I do not see a way out of the hole they have dug and have predicted that Calif, NV, OR, WA will simply withdraw from the union someday and like-minded people will begin to migrate to "their" chosen areas and people ... dare I say it, like the PARTITION in India/Pakistan years ago. The Northeast will leave, too and the dumb and barefoot in the middle (where I was born and grew up) will learn what a Third World country is like.

I hope not Charles. You have a wonderful country but as my father used
to say:

"A family divided among itself will fail"

I wish I had known that much earlier. A good friend of mine who was the
Editor of Asia Times Online [since murdered] lived there. A top fellow
who was South African and chose to become an Australian.

Privately we rarely spoke of international politics, mostly cricket and
his personal passion of painting. He was a msst accomplished artist who
spent a great deal of time studying our Aboriginal artists and learning.

I simply try Charles and with so many others I've encountered over the
last 15+ years... I can only say.

Thanks for being my friend.

Thanks! :) 72/73's
