all my wife ever wanted to do was dance (still does) but in the 70s she learned the code and got to understand the radio well enough to operate the rig and talk to a friend of hers in another town (about 5 WPM mind you) 

and then she said "is that enough?" i said yes, and she never touched a key or a radio again

mike w7dra/0 who just had a smashingly good time operating an "SOC Quartz Test" style CQ WPX i am sure i had the only "Fundamental Oscillator" station the air 

will try to write an article for CQ mag...........with pictures
