With modern math, whatever you want it to be. There are no wrong answers.
It does sound like a splendid idea for a new contest, the SOC MegaPoint Contest. All QSOs are worth a million points. Everyone scores big time. Everyone is a winner. There are no losers. Pretty much like what the WPX has become.
Didn't the WPX have more value as a DX contest when the US call prefixes were only W and K and most all other prefixes were DX? Now there's a multitude of prefixes to be worked in just the US alone. Rather easy but also maybe more fun with more stations available to be worked and counted as multipliers.
