I got a B in economics.  What we were "taught" was drastically different
than how it really was (see movie "Back To School"), kinda like American (or
any other)
"history" (if Washington was the first president, why are there letters
addressed to the president before him?  Oh, yeah, first publicly elected
president, maybe even the first to use toilet paper for all we know or
care).
