Nothing fills you with the Christmas spirit like these tools who go all weird about  their light display. Then you get to have 24 hour blinking daylight for months, because as everyone knows, it's too bad Christmas can't be all year round, Right?So they keep the lights up until mid January. Hey! Why can't we do this for Valentines day. Then Saint Patricks day. Then Memorial day Then 4th of July. then Labor Day, then Thanksgiving, and well looky looky, its Christmas lights time again!

We have two of these tools in my neighborhood. Which is not good, because they cannot handle the competition that develops. Ratchet it up with each display, until the normal neighbors have to intervene.

Then of course, the tool with the Griswold Christmas Vacation approach to holiday lighting sulks away, muttering about how people just don't understand the true meaning of Christmas.

It's all fun and newspaper stories and youtube videos until you try  living next to them.
