The 1 percent transaction tax was introduced by some dude from Pennsylvania,
in 2004 and it got no support (understandably) and gone nowhere. He
introduced it a couple more times - the last in 2007. Links to the bills are
on the factcheck page.

Respectfully, there is a line between intelligent disagreement, and the
ability of some people to simply accept anything that people email them.
We're supposed to be smarter than they are. We have to look like it

Which is to say does one's hatred of democrats justify spreading untruths
about them?
