Ryan had a brilliant idea to add to our SOC call list - so far we have
W0SOC, W1SOC, and W5SOC. Are there any UK members reading this that can
help Ryan in his quest for M0SOC? Please read his e-mail below. In the
meantime, I'll comb the membership list for UK members and try and send
him a list.

Bob,

I have just got through to Ofcom and they have said that the call sign
'M0SOC' is available and that I can apply for it. However, there is a
snag...

In order for it to be issued as a UK club call sign, I need two other
English amateurs with full licences who are members of SOC to submit
there details on the application. A club has to have at least three
members in order to be licensed you see, else it will be an individual
application. Is it possible you or some one from the club could send an
email out to the UK members or spread the word via the reflector for
others to contact me to see if they can help? Ofcom will hold the call
sign for a week before it goes back in to circulation. There is also a
£20 fee but I will quite happily absorb that.

Hopefully, we should be in business soon!

73,
Ryan
