What about following all the "Invest in GOLD!!" claims that comes across all forms of media these days?
Of course I never did and now never will have any investment money. But.Just wondering. 

I often wondered if everyone did that. There would be none left.

Look around, I was offered 3.8%, higher for a longer duration of course. 
Truck payment, 2% while I had it, mortgage rate 4% and only 12% of my income 
unlike some employees whose mortgage is 90+% of their income (WTF?).
