 point-by-point response to the reasons he believes people find them
elitist".  I'm guessing I won't be getting any more invites to join CWops.

Worth reading.  Vic's comments are in fact measured and reasonable.  If one
ccepts that the purpose of CWops is to form a tight-knit group of committed
embers/operators (indeed Vic uses the term "fraternal organization" in his
omments) then their club membership requirements make sense.  Yet with that
nderstood CWops is still a perfect example of the "culture of exclusion"
nd does nothing to promote CW interest in new hams.
