Erh um.... ehem......I enjoyed your rant Quikhooligan, it was a tremendous
effort, HOWEVER I want to take issue with you about this assertion that
maligns the SOC email list and states that the list was for 'serious
discussions";
I went back and doubled checked what was available as archives on the
internet, and here's the info from the very first message of the SOC email
lists that was not a "test message" (content wise) ;

I just wanted to say welcome aboard to those who have joined us, we have
about 20-30 here now with more joining at a steady pace. our leader Bob,
N4BP
will be joining us as soon as he can.
Ok, lets start talking about impressive stuff like...blasting yourself
out
of your operating chair by touching an ungrounded chassis (been there), or
having a bit too much to drink at a party,walking home, wandering into the
shack, tripping and falling face first into all your gear and knocking it
all
off the back of the table...then waking up the next morning, seeing the
path
of destruction and feeling your hangover elevate to a new level of despair.
(done that)
Let the second class reign supreme here!!!....well, as far as second
class
will go.
