[SOC] Mathematicians

"What say ye geniuses? Who, given the assignment, would seriously select
Einstein among the prominent mathematicians of the world."

I'd pick Leonardo Fibonacci.

1.  While his "math" has that strange habit in mathematics of popping up 
in very strange places, it starts out as "arithmetic" and easy to 
comprehend by a young student.

2.  ONE VERY STRANGE PLACE:  My wife knits.  She knit me a sweater in 
which the pattern consists of the numbers in the Fibonacci sequence but 
chosen rangomly.  I think it looks pretty good.  I'll send you a photo 
if you'd like.
