One thing that has helped me with my all-band wonder antenna is to use the
following steps.

1 - Build a large fire on one side of it with green wood or old RR ties. The
more smoke generated the better.

2 - Put a large mirror behind the antenna with the reflective side pointing
in the direction you want to work.

Being in AZ I also rub a little snake oil on the mirror at times. With the
combination of smoke, mirrors and snake oil, the antenna's gain is increased
by at least 12db.
