Like wise on the temporary silence.
It's been that season where I feel the need to don my compulsory "Bah! Humbug ! It's Christamas dammit" attitude whilst the family and assorted "oiks" make theier annual descent on my house, eat my food, drink my guinness, purloin my vintage port and get snotty because I won't share my Remy Martin XO brandy with them.
Now they've all finally gone I can get back to ham radio in general and SOC in particular .... combined with drinking my brandy of course.

Slim Haines G4IPZ SOC 930

PS: as for being PC well the only PC in this house is the one I write emails on......

Now just wait one dang-nammit second OM, I can stir up plenty of nonsense
and I am still alive and kicking.....when someone does sumting' stoopid like
complain about our lack of "p.c." I **will** be more than happy to jump into
  it.

  My silence is merely temporary........
