I remember one time some years ago, There was an ice storm going on. Drivers
were trying to get to work, very carefully. Seriously slick out.
I was trying to make a right hand turn onto another road, when a young lady
ran across the road. She was obviously "in the zone". Although slipping a
lot. I was right turning on red (after stop) when she ran in front of me,
and it wasn't too hard to stop. The people she ran in front of that had the
green weren't so lucky. Nice young lady created a pileup as they tried to
swerve and stop on the ice. Nothing short of a miracle the first guy didn't
hit her. She kept on running, didn't look before or afterward. I don't think
she even knows the damage she caused.
But runners anyhow - what are they running from?
