It was the Par Endfedz.. Hang on I will look for that .. Dang cant find it on my Hard drive.. Ah HAH .. I found it on QRZ though. Here it is

PAR ENDFEDZ LINE ACQUIRED BY LnR PRECISION

On August 2, 2010 LnR Precision, Inc. acquired the popular Par EndFedz line of amateur and SWL antennas. Larry, AE4LD, will be the new owner. Larry is a talented machinist, active amateur, QRPer and will be far better equipped to manufacture and expand the EndFedz line of antennas. In recent years, PAR has had to resort to only accepting orders in 1 week windows in order to better balance their growing commercial segment and the amateur products. LnR Precision will have much larger manufacturing capabilities and thus amateurs will benefit from much faster order filling. Dale W4OP will be staying on to complete new designs and offering technical assistance to LNR Precision. Amateurs can expect new novel EndFedz models in the near future. "I wish to thank the many thousands of amateurs who have bought EndFedz and whom I think of as friends. I will continue to design/manufacture both commercial and amateur filters and expand our line of commercial and amateur VHF/UHF antenna products and hopefully some really interesting surface mount accessories for HF rigs." -Dale W4OP

The 817ND out of the box is a great little CW rig. Sensitive and stable. The MODS available for it like adding CW and SSB filters like the ones made by W4ART from
what I "USED to be able to read" Ha. report ably make it a superb rig. Especially for portable use. There are other SOC members that I know are on that group and have
more experience than I do. One even takes his back packing and Hikeing in the rough lands near El Passo Tx. Mike is real knowledgeable on such operations.

I could not find anything in the manual about any internally generated tone for morse code on FM. There is a SPOT capability that helps zero beat. Maybe other users
can comment. This little rig is a Shack in the Box system and has internal battery pack for about 3 hours use at 5 watts. I often get more out of it cause I dont transmit that much.
Sorry I made this so long SOCers. Just answering a question, I will try and be less responsible in future posts.

 Hello PC,

What is the Antenna Company that is being sold? Also what do you
think of the Yaesu 817 for use on Morse? I understand that it also
has the capacity to send modulated continuous wave on vhf and uhf. Is
it able to do this on all modulated modes - like SSB, AM, FM and when
sending does it simultaneously key the carrier on and off?

Thanks Pete,

Best wishes,

David Ring, N1EA
