Curt - Excellent for sure, made my day. However it sounds like you are speaking from experience. Do you recycle your rigs down at the recycle dumpster when the ink starts to fade and the cat has found a home inside one of them? They say aluminum is getting a fair price on the recycle market, don't toss out that old wad of antenna. As for that beverage....from earlier posts, Guinness will also increast that rigs DB output! 73 Rich K8UV

Get a cardboard box, size doesn't matter. Ddraw knobs, dials and a meter on
the front with a magic marker. This can be your radio. If you prefer boat
anchors like me, then a refrigerator box would do. If, on the other hand you
are into the newer SDR rigs (which should disqualify you as a SOC) then a
small USPS mailer will do.
Your antenna can be just a wad of aluminum foil.
Once you have completed the above monumental tasks, you can pour your
favorite beverage (drink, NOT antenna), kick back and enjoy the amateur
radio hobby.
