Charles: Since time is of the essence....get a bike and a J-38. Don't spend more than 15 minutes a day studying (on the bike). The rest of the time, send code the Farnsworth way (ride the bike at 30 mph but send code at 5 wpm). That should do it, by the end of a week you will be either a great bike rider or a poor code operator - which ever comes first. 73 Rich K8UV SOC #???

I am a new member - so new that I cannot remember my number.
I must say that I was very impressed by the fellow on the bicycle and
quite amazed that he could be sending code while riding to that
standard. Surely he is not a member of SOC. ??? Such ability would
surely disqualify him ?
I have tried my hardest not to become a member of FOC but it's not easy.
I've been trying to learn CW for nearly twelve years and I am now 74.75
years old so time is of the essence. Please advise.
Charles
