I don't think people in the states fear for their safety nor are they
paranoid about terrorism (at least nobody I know does/is).  There are always
a few who are outside the realm of the bell-curve, but that's not unique to
any one particular country or ideology. 

If firearms bans work for other countries, that's fine with me.  But, as you
said Ian, in Oz only the criminals have firearms... so I can't fathom the
benefit of the ban.

Ian, I've followed you for quite some time on this and several other groups
and I have great respect for you.  It's good that we can have these types of
discussions in civility and perhaps each lift a pint to the other at the end
of the day.
