Thanks for the valuable advice Rich.
Now you've introduced new concerns - if I get a flat tyre (especially if
riding along spiked railings) then my speed will be reduced well below
30 mph.  If such circumstances should arise then will I be required to
increase my code speed above 5 wpm, perhaps before I am read to do so ?

So many things for me to worry about I am now fearing that I may have
taken on too much responsibility in joining this fraternity.
I'm not even sure yet if I really am a member - which I am beginning to
doubt.  My hair is already white and falling out :-((
