I believe you. One other strike against it, from my perspective, is that
(OK, for the most part) when collecting things of any sort I generally try
to avoid UGLY!!! And this thing is that and more. 

Hm-m-m-let's see: ugly AND expensive... what a combination!!!

Quite so Ed. But "TYPE" in English? Bakelite - not until after 1922 and
perhaps later than that in Germany.

I knew of a guy once who introduced a wind instrument into a museum and it
became an ancient exhibit, a few years later he made more.......

Naw - it's a ringer.

I decided not to leave my family with the rubbish so I converted mine to
cash. I've got three more to go, when I can pluck up the courage!
