Well that turned out to be a fizzer. Free to Air TV networks ignored
it, most likely to not cause a panic, official announcement didn't
come and Sydney newspapers online carried the story.
Some extraordinary waves were expected and unless you were stupid
enough to be at the waters edge [at 11:00 p.m. with temp 10C?] there
was no real concern.
Cops closed down a concert at Bondi Pavilion and told everyone to go
home. That was as exciting as it got. All Second Class.
I went to bed. Didn't hear any waves pounding the beach as you will
when rough weather coincides with a high tide.
Must find out how high I am above sea level. Couldn't be more than 5
metres. Where did I put my Manometer? That can be pressed into service.
Thanks for the concerns, prayers and kind wishes. Sorry it couldn't be
more exciting, maybe I'll organise a summer bushfire next time.
Thanks! :)
