[SOC] Cricket Bat

Ah - then you may understand the importance of this double sided bat and pink balls nonsense. The traditional finish for a bat is boiled linseed oil. However its very oily and smelly so, if the bat is a souvenire that I would suggest cold Indian tea. Brew it VERY strong and not from a tea bag - real tea. Let it cool and paint it on with a soft cloth but don't soak it. It may take a few coats.
Very good luck.

No, never had the pleasure. It's a real bat, but it's a souvenir from some time I spent in N Yorks.

I've got a new cricket bat and wonder what do I put on it to make it look like an old cricket bat.
