Great question.  We have mole crickets that burrow like moles and moles are
mammals.  Bats are also mammals, so I would presume a cricket bat would
behave like a a bat and hang out in a belfry or cave.

 

Or, are mole crickets so named because if you have any at all -- you have an
Avocado's number of the darn things?
