Here is a link to a photo of a dummy load I made for calibrating the SWR
circuit on my Elecraft K1 and K2:

the resistors are 50 Ohm 30 watt surface mount thick film ceramics.
Very low reactivity.

Two are in series for 100 ohms and two are in parallell for 25 ohms.
Those values are perfect for balancing the SWR bridge at 2:1 FWD and 2:1
reverse.

They are bolted to a chunk of 1/8 inch thich aluminum scrap I had laying
around.

I recently re-wired to use all four resistors for a 120 watt 50 ohm
dummy load. (two pair of 50 ohms in series wired in parallel).

Much easier and much more compact than a bunch of carbon comp resistors.

Works great!

I can't recall where I bought these resistors, but here is a link to
some that are similar.
