[SOC] Done with it.

Mike: Sounds like a "down river" growing up situation to me?  Glad you are able to do the beef thing however.  I live on a farm in SE Michigan and the paved road in front of my place is often prone to deer crossings and of course deer crash/acidents.  When I serve venison, my wife always asked..."is this one you killed or are we eating road kill?".  Who cares, same taste without wasting the bullet. 73 and Happy Holidays alah Merry Christmas to all. Pete,

I was okay until you threw in the Carp.  A man's gotta have SOME standards!
(Besides, growing up on Lake Michigan, there were plenty of Perch and Smelt
to be had.  Eating Smelt was like eating pure butter!)

We'd have included raccoon as well, and some branches of the family believe
the opossum was fit to eat.

Thanksgiving meal consisted of whatever the clan had been able to kill
during the past week or so.  Some of the family was so poor that the only
meat they had is what they could kill.  Dad and I always left our deer with
them... we were lucky enough to be able to afford that fancy 'beef' stuff.

73,

Mike
