Opossum is ok, but we had something better when I was growing up in
exas.... Opossum on the half-shell! Most folks called them armadillo, but
hat did they know. Now add some wild pig and rattlesnake and you have a
east.

 Thanksgiving meal consisted of whatever the clan had been able to kill
 during the past week or so.  Some of the family was so poor that the only
 meat they had is what they could kill.  Dad and I always left our deer with
 them... we were lucky enough to be able to afford that fancy 'beef' stuff.
