I think perhaps an extensively descriptive paragraph above AND below said
non-button explaining its intent may be of value.  And, of course, some
flashy arrows with text within them explaining to not click on the arrows,
but the non-button word to the left or right of the appropriate arrow,
explaining that it's just as good as a button, even thought it might not be.
The buttons should be hot pink with sky blue text that flash alternately at
about 5 Hz to get the SOC's attention.
