Talking somewhat seriously this is the code at the website for the "Gold
Membership button";
<SCRIPT type="text/javascript">
var name = "soc"
var domain = "qsl.net"
document.write("<A HREF='mailto:" + name + "@" + domain + "?\
subject=SOC Membership&body=Hi, I want a number too ! \
My name is _NAME_, my call is _CALL_ and I want/do not want \
my email to be listed on the SOC web. I hereby agree with the\
terms of application.'><IMG border=0 src='pics/mem9.gif'><\/A>")
</SCRIPT>
(I added the '\' to keep the one run-on line more manageable for viewing
here.)
**** UM>>>> this is VERY SOC as it is a javascript which is a big maybe for
being usable at the user's end of things..... hence why some folks are not
finding this usable.
Now because I am a VERY SOC, I am not able to discern from the above code
snippet the knowledge that I could otherwise/ impart to others to send an
email to soc at qsl.net with a subject of SOC Membership and asking to
become a member and stating whether I wanted my email listed at the website.
Eh ?
